ABOUT US:
Dalby7 Ltd (Promoter 'we', 'us', ours) with company number 16702763 and registered office 7 Dalby Road, London, SW18 1AW. Dalby7 is a for-profit organisation.
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern The Big Leagues Matchday Predictors ("Competition") organised by The Big Leagues and its partners, Hunch and Dalby7 ("Organisers"). By participating in the Competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
This is a free-to-enter prize competition, the outcome of which is determined by the skill and judgment of the participants.
The Prize Competition is open to all individuals over the age of 18 and created an active account on The Big Leagues platform. Please note it is open to UK residents only, any entries from users outside the UK do so at their own risk (do not enter if it is illegal in your place of residence) and we reserve the right to refuse payment of any prizes if you do so. If the match kicks off at 8.00 pm, then your predictions must be submitted by 7.59pm.
The Competition period will be identified by the 'How to Play' section for each individual game and competition - the timing applied is final and at the discretion of The Big Leagues.
The prizes will be identified by the 'Prizes' section for each individual game and competition - award of any prize is subject to identity check (the named account entering must be the same person as the prize is awarded to, using nationally accepted identity documents such as a passport, national ID or driving license and will always be subject to the discretion of The Big League).
Any jackpot advertised is considered to be a total prize pool, should multiple people qualify on the same game, the prize will be split equally.
We may from time to time offer free entries into Prize Draw competitions, this in no way guarantees a prize and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Prize Draw itself.
Each game, the winner will be selected based on the best score recorded as defined by the points system applied. In the event of a tie, the tie-breaker will be used to deem the winner. If a tie still remains after the use of the tie-breaker, then the winner will be determined based on a random draw. Players can view their scores and overall position on the leaderboard tab in the game.
The winners will be notified via the email associated with sign up.
The winners must claim the prize within seven days of the announcement of the winners. If the winners do not claim the prize within the specified time frame, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. The prize winner's email must be verified through the website in order to claim their prize.
2.1.1 In addition to our prediction games, The Big Leagues ("we", "us", "our") operates periodic Prize Draws.
2.1.2 Our Prize Draws are operated as "Free Draws" in compliance with Schedule 2 of the Gambling Act 2005. All draws include a prominent postal entry route. No purchase or payment is necessary in order to win a prize, and one paid entry to a draw has the same chance of winning as a postal entry.
2.1.3 Prize Draws are strictly open only to registered users who are legal residents of the United Kingdom and aged 18 years or older at the time of entry. We reserve the right to require proof of age and identity, and if you are not able to prove you are over 18 to a satisfactory level, prizes will not be distributed and your account will be closed.
2.1.4 Employees of The Big Leagues, their immediate families, agents, or any third party directly associated with the administration of the Prize Draws are not eligible to participate or win.
You can enter our Prize Draws via the following methods:
2.2.1 Earned Entries (Free): You may win free entries into the Prize Draws by participating in our free-to-enter prediction games. The criteria for winning entries (e.g., points scored, leaderboard position) will be clearly stated on the Website for each game. Earned entries will be automatically credited to your account and entered into the relevant draw.
2.2.2 Paid Entries: Users may choose to purchase direct entries into the Prize Draws via the Website. The cost and corresponding number of entries will be clearly displayed prior to purchase.
2.2.3 Free Postal Entry: You may enter any active Prize Draw for free by sending an unenclosed letter or postcard via first or second-class post to:
Suite 308, QDBC House, 67-83 Norfolk Street, Liverpool, L1 0BG, United Kingdom
You must have a registered online account to submit a free entry, and the entry will appear in your online account on receipt of the Free Entry.
The postcard must clearly state: The name of the specific Prize Draw, your full legal name, date of birth, home postal address, contact telephone number, and the email address registered to your Big Leagues account.
Limit of one entry per letter or postcard. Bulk or mechanically reproduced entries are not permitted, and entries on behalf of other people are not accepted.
Entries must be received before the scheduled draw time, proof of posting is not sufficient and will not be accepted.
One postal entry has the same chance of winning as a paid entry.
We reserve the right to close or suspend accounts where we suspect multiple accounts or fraud, chargeback abuse or general terms of use.
2.3.1 The opening and closing dates for each Prize Draw will be clearly published on the Website.
2.3.2 All valid entries, regardless of the method of entry (Earned, Paid, or Postal), are pooled together and have an exact, equal chance of winning.
2.3.3 Winners will be selected entirely at random using an independently verifiable Random Number Generator (RNG) computer process within 24 hours of the advertised draw closing date.
2.3.4 We will from time to time close draws early if all the tickets are sold, closing dates will only ever be extended in force majeure situations (such as IT or payment failures).
2.4.1 Winners will be notified via the email address or telephone number registered to their account within 7 working days of the draw. Players are obliged to keep their contact details up to date.
2.4.2 Winners must respond to the notification to claim their prize within 14 days. If a winner does not respond within this timeframe, or fails age/identity verification checks, they will forfeit their prize and we reserve the right to randomly select an alternative winner from the remaining valid entries. Non-cash prizes will be delivered where possible, and terms for each draw will be identified independently (e.g. for vehicle registration).
2.4.3 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is offered unless explicitly stated.
2.4.4 The winner is liable for any taxation or duty due on the Prize where applicable.
2.4.5 The prizes will be forfeited in the event that the user cannot verify age or ID or if they are in breach of any of the terms.
2.5.1 To comply with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP Code, we are required to publish or make available information that indicates a valid award took place. We will publish the name of major prize winners on our Website.
2.5.2 If you object to your name being published, please contact us when claiming your prize. In such circumstances, we are still legally required to provide your details to the ASA if they request proof that a prize was awarded.
2.6.1 Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Immediate performance of the service and loss of the right to cancel
2.6.2 When you purchase an entry (or entries) into one of our Prize Draws, the service you are buying — the allocation of your entry into the relevant draw — is performed immediately upon completion of your purchase.
2.6.3 By completing your purchase, you expressly request that we begin performing the service immediately, and you acknowledge that once your entry has been allocated to a draw, you lose your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, in accordance with regulation 36(2).
2.6.4 You will be asked to confirm this acknowledgement at checkout before payment is taken. If you do not agree, do not complete your purchase.
2.6.5 For this reason, entries are non-refundable once allocated to a draw, except in the circumstances set out in clauses 2.6.6 to 2.6.10 below or under our goodwill provision in clauses 2.6.11 and 2.6.12.
When we will provide a refund
We will provide a full refund of the entry fee, to the original payment method, in the following circumstances:
2.6.6 Cancelled draws. If we cancel a draw for any reason, all paid entries into that draw will be refunded in full. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation being announced.
2.6.7 Materially changed draws. If we materially change a draw after you have entered — for example, a significant extension of the closing date or a change to the advertised prize — and you do not wish to remain entered, you may request a full refund at any time before the draw takes place.
2.6.8 Errors on our part. If a technical or administrative error results in a duplicate charge, a failed entry (payment taken but no entry allocated), an entry accepted after the closing date, or an entry accepted in excess of any stated per-person entry limit, we will refund the affected amount in full.
2.6.9 Ineligible entries. If you were ineligible to enter at the time of purchase (for example, due to age or location restrictions set out in clause 2.1) and your entry is void as a result, we will refund the entry fee, provided the ineligibility was not the result of false information supplied by you.
2.6.10 Refunds under clauses 2.6.6 to 2.6.9 will be processed within 14 days of the refund being agreed and will be made to the original payment method only.
Goodwill refunds
2.6.11 In addition to your rights above, we may at our discretion refund unused entries on request at any time before the relevant draw closes. To request this, contact us at info@thebigleagues.co.uk with your ticket numbers.
2.6.12 Refunded entries are removed from the draw. Goodwill refunds are discretionary and do not create any ongoing entitlement.
Free postal entry route
2.6.13 Every draw on The Big Leagues offers a free entry route by post, as set out in clause 2.2.3. Free postal entries are treated identically to paid entries in every draw, including in the selection of winners.
2.6.14 As no payment is made for postal entries, no refund applies to them. We do not reimburse postage costs.
2.6.15 Withdrawal of a postal entry may be requested in writing before the draw closes but is not guaranteed once the entry has been processed.
Responsible play
2.6.16 If you ask us to close your account, any entries into draws that have not yet closed at the time of your request will be refunded in full and removed from those draws. Entries into draws that have already taken place are not refundable.
2.6.17 Spending limit tools are available in your account settings.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
2.6.18 If you initiate a chargeback or payment reversal on an entry fee, we reserve the right to void the associated entries (including removing them from any draw that has not yet taken place) and to suspend your account pending resolution.
2.6.19 If a chargeback is raised on an entry that has already won a prize, we reserve the right to withhold or reclaim the prize.
2.6.20 If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at info@thebigleagues.co.uk — most issues can be resolved faster than a formal dispute.
How to request a refund
2.6.21 Email info@thebigleagues.co.uk from the email address registered to your account, including your order number, the draw name, and the reason for your request.
2.6.22 We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 working days.
Complaints
2.6.23 If you are unhappy with how a refund request has been handled, you can escalate it by emailing info@thebigleagues.co.uk. We will respond within 14 days.
2.6.24 If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be able to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution provider or seek advice from Citizens Advice. Nothing in this policy prevents you from exercising your legal rights.
